Charlie, it is not necessary to run some relays, the stock wiring should
not have any problem supplying current to the head lights. That is, if your
wires aren't burnt. My '73 Square came with Halogen lights from the
factory, I doubt that the wiring is any bigger on my car, it has 1,5mm2
wires (dunno what gauge that is). I have used 100/80 bulbs in my head
lights, did not fry the wires nor the dip switch, but the chrome in the
lights didn't like it, so I have two stock H4s without chrome right above
the bulbs.
