I've used a hair drier on its hottest and coolest settings to check my
engine cooling bellows and it definitely does the job (a cigarette lighter
doesn't work :)

I removed my cabin temp. bellows so I'm of no help in checking them.  Jim
and Keith may slap my little wrenching paws with a frayed heater lever cable
for this mistake of mine.
