Do some practicing first -- get some panels from the junk yard and some
body tools from Harbor Freight or someplace, and learn to dolly out
dents, learn how the hammers work, try some torch shrinking, like that.
(Remember that old VW metal will be substantially thicker than that from
modern cars.) Assuming all that goes well, do a real careful evaluation
of how much time all the prep and sanding will take, then at least
8!o t, and consider whether you've got the time and sticktoitiveness
to follow through. In figuring the cost, price the pro materials from
the auto paint supplier rather than the Bondo crap at Wal-Mart.
