re Fastback interior light
I've got two Fastbacks - a 1970 and a 1971, both have the complete light and switch
and neither work. No power to the switch and I can't find where it comes out of the
body at the other end.
I have a Beetle too and I agree, the bezel is not like anything else I've seen,
except our Holden Camira (Isuzu Aska or GM J-car in US language). It does look very
much like the fitting in the boot of that car and may be available as a spare from a
Japanese parts dealer.
