Im not sure about the Square, but in the Fastback the set up is way simple: I took the two wires that were dangling outta the hole for the light and tested them- yup had power. So last year at Manassas Bug out I bought an interior light cover/holder for the T-3 ( I think its the same as the T-1?) and it comes Σ bulb holder built-in but as it was a tad too large to pop into place in the rear trunk light-hole, i shaved the plastic down just a bit ( just the inner part of the switch that actually snaps against the metal of the car) and lo! It works just fine and only works when I turn the lights on, just as it is supposed to I believe. I dont think they're supposed to work just by opening the rear trunk, but also with the lights on. The switch itself is under the right hinge up near the upper part near the body. Anyway, after ten years I finally got around to fixing my trunk light and show everyone like a proud papa. Anyone who comes to Manassas Bug outs or Monrovia bug-ons Ill be happy to show off my trunk light. I finally went the adaptaive route using the interior light holder coz I could never find one for the rear trunk.
