Non-USA Beetles for 72 and 73 models only had the early Type 3 (2-pin) calipers. The 1500/1600 non-USA Beetles (Aug 67 to July 71) had the single pin calipers AFAIK. The caliper piston and dust seals are the same for the early and late Type 3(not the 4-pots!), but the piston retaining plate, pads and pins are bigger on the late. Pads for the single pin (early non-USA Beetle, and Ghia) and early 2-pin Type 3 are the same. Discs for the early T3 are the same as (non-USA) Beetle and Ghias. There's a parts interchangeability page on my website; I'll put up part numbers when I can find the time now I 雺9e of the different specs on VWs in other markets. Dave.
