Once I made the egregious mistake of sticking a thermometer on the dash of 
a '69 Beetle.  Having left the car in a shaded parking garage in Las Vegas 
for a coupla hours, I came out to find the thermometer reading over 130
degrees.  Fortunately, after driving the car for a few blocks the flow of
eæair cooled the car down to a comfy 115 degrees!

I recommend (a) throwing away any thermometers, (b) staying in the Casino 
until midnight, or (c) visiting Las Vegas in December.
