Re: [T3] questions for all

1) You'll no doubt hear from the Pertronics(x?) users on the list.
I've got a home-built point-switching electronic ignition. Not neat
but does the job(lots cheaper). Can put it back to stock
configuration in less than 30 secs. if needed.

2)Could be a bunch of things ranging from bearings to axle nut
adjustment to upper torsion bar looseness. Does a shimmy accompany
the noise? The upper stabilizer\torsion bar seems to be a neglected
area on a lot of T3s, Bentley says to check it every 6K miles. If
it's loose, it'll give funny noises and shimmies like hell, depending
on how loose it is.

3)You'll no doubt have a lot of contrary opinions, but I used Bosch
platinums once. I ended up having to change them on a busy street
because they'd fouled out and the engine quit. I've never had any
problems with the stock, recommended Bosch copper-cored plugs. Why
pay lots more for lots less service? The platinums lasted me less
than 100 miles, I just changed the礪(- about 3 years.
