Today, more suitably attired, I returned to the curiosity and found that indeed someone had put an early decklid on a 69 Square. I took off the scrips, maybe the VARIANT will fit on my Square. After all it already has that chrom line where in other countries the script was. BTW If you tell someone in Germany you have a VW Variant they will think you have a Passat Wagon. Variant is like Wagon.
