Greetings folks, What color should the hinge cover in a '65 Squareback be? The body color (in my case, Perlweiss)? Or white matte to match the interior? My hinge cover used to have a textured finish. The paintshop already "cleaned" (without my knowledge or approval) the old off-white color AND texture from the hinge cover. It is now smooth and a grey color. Should it have a textured finish to it? What color should it be? Thanks for your assistance! By t迂I had the '65 completely derusted and painted. It was painted and baked this weekend and now only polishing and touch up remain. It should be done by Wednesday. It sure looks nice! Once I get it back, then I need to begin putting it all back together.
