[T3] Rear End BS

*My Update Story (Thanx to all on the Vacuum Modulator deal so I have 3rd
now) Im so busy with this new T3.*

Hi to all! Well i was at 422 New E-mails and now im down to 200 after
reading for 2 hours so now Im gonna talk.

As you all know I just recently got a 1971 Lt. Blue Square back for $250
and Its automatic. And its been sitting for 7-8 years. Its been a
wonderful learning experience almost like getting another type of
Volkswagen though its one I already been with. Ive reÙ«Ûid the front
bearings, Brakes, Generator, Fuel line replacing, added a Uni- Electric
fuel pump,Plugs, Cap, Rotor Button, Generator Replacing, little under
dash wiring to my new fuel pump, Cracked Lense replacing, new battery,
Generic Battery floor modification rigging metal over the fallen out
crap, and more.

My dual Carbs work Excellent and the shifting in the Auto stuff is great.
I had to change the Generator recently because it was grinding and stuff
and the (G) light wouldnt go out. So I changed the spade type plugs to
the O= looking type of connector and the (G) light comes on every once in
a while but who knows that this is. Probably the Voltage Regulator not
grounding right or something and the headlights flicker dim and
bright????
------------------------------------
But thats not my major problem but if someone has a recomendation it may
be helpful. Ok Now with the rear end.

When i go around turns the Rear end tends to feel like its moving alittle
Un-Normally, Kinda like the problem I had with my 73 but when I tightened
the read 36mm nuts on the 71 it didnt change much. (Thats what the
problem was like that on the 73) So on this one i recently bought it
seems to sway alittle on turns??? I cant figure this one out seeming I
never really had a VW ever do this to me before. But everything else is
great.
-----------------------------------
Considering it hasnt been driven since 92-93 (The Plate sticker tells me)
So if anyone knows about this let me know. Im not sure what to think. The
Milage is actually around 87,550mi and it dont leak a drop of oil. (This
is weird because all of my VW's always drip something) and it dont burn
anything. But between the rear end and the (G) light having fits when i
use my head lights I dont know which is worse. The clock even works!! But
not the Gas Gauge. on either of the T3's.

Is there anyway to help the aluminum on the fan shroud stuff to quit
deteorating. its crusty looking. I guess thats what making a VW sit for
many years will do to these cars. But my 10 milu¹0êto and from work
is a good way to break an old one in again.
