In a word, correct.  A black case would run cool, too, since it's "pulling"
heat from the metal and "pushing" it into the air stream.  White wouldn't be
"pulling" and "pushing" as well.

On a stock engine it's not necessary.  My engine has them...and the chrome
is bead blasted off to a nice, dull finish :)

Yeah, faith can be unreliable.  What about just believing the pure physics
part? ;)  It's what those Cığ!mngineers were doing...
