[T3] "Cofap" pisons and cylinders

Hi everybody,

So I go to the Bugorama this weekend, some type three stuff, lots of
neat cars, mostly friendly people selling stuff, one or two profiteers,
but all in all not a bad day.

So later that day, on the way back from San Francisco, at about 70 mph
UPHILL (my baby's running great!) all of a sudden I loose power, so I
move over into the far right lane and pull off the shoulder to see if
the carb linkage has unlinked or what have you. Car is still idling,
then it comes to a rattling stop. From then on, it won't turn over any
more.

I tow it home, take off the head and lo and behold, the valve had
snapped off and wedged in the cylinder.

Last engine rebuild was five months ago so I'm not looking forward to
this, financially or otherwise. I'm replacing the Mahle P&C's with a
set of Cofap P&C's (cuz that's all they hadSVW shop) these don't
seem to be up the quality of the Mahle set - any comments? Does anyone
just replace one piston at a time provided you balance them all?
Also, I'll be saving the three other P&C's cuz they're in good shape...
Can I reuse them st sometime in the future?

Thanks,

Eduardo
