[T3] My turn for tranny Q's

Hey volks,

I think it is my tranny anyway...

On the left side of the car, there is a whining, screeching sound only
when on the gas.   I can hear it when I drive on the on and off ramps and
there is a wall beside me.  Sounds kind of like an unlubed speedo cable,
but if I let off the gas, it goes away.  On the other side of the car,
when I let off the gas and am compression braking, it "roars/rumbles" I
guess is the best way to describe it.  I'll check the fluid today, but
is there anything else to look for?  It is a manual tranny, btw.
