This is the factory position on the > T3. There was NO factory lighter. There is none in the microfilm anywhere. All of these were installed by dealers in whatever location was convenient. This usually meant one of the 2 places just to the left of the ash tray. In the early cars the wiper switch was above and a blank space was below, so the dealer just drilled a large hole. In the later years there was a plastic plug in a hole there which was meant for the optional gasoline heater, so the dealers would just enlarge that hole. If you had the gasoline heater, then I suppose the mechanic had to get creative.
