Isnt the original question, "How do I get black and gold plates on a
cali car that has new white plates"? Lisa was your car registered with
the old plates or did it have newer plates? Its one thing to re-regester
a black&gold thats b«Ά1…ing idle for years, the car would of already
of had the plates and they need clearing before the DMV gives you new
tags. It is another matter if you want to put black&golds on a car thats
VIN will fit the era that they were used but has long since had newer
plates attached. I think AAA can help on a car with the plates already,
but if you want to put blacks back on I dont think so. Lisa can you
clairify?? I have noticed a guy at Pomona who sells B&G cali plates for
the american iron crowd. He has hundreds of pairs of B&G plates. If
anyone would know he should. I too will run into this problem as I
bought my 62 notch in Seattle and want to register it in Cali but I have
no title or plates! And yes I too want the old B&G plates. There is a
way you just need to find the right person on the right day at the DMV.
