You've got to match the sender to the guage. They may send/interpret different signals. Even then, you should only use it as a reference point rather than gospel. Remember, your speedo is almost certainly off a few mph, so what makes you think your oil guage, if properly functioning/mated, is 100% accurate and precise? Word to the wise.
