[T3] My lousy communication

This reponse is made public because I fear others may have  similarly 
misinterpreted some of my recent comments.

 At the end of a previous message I did the following sig:

Martin, please accept my explanation that my comment in the sig 
referred to ME and ME ALONE.  I was attempting some self-deprecating 
humor (at which I apparently am not too successful).  Neither you nor 
any other person on the list was the target of my (supposedly 
humorous) comment.

I never purposely try to put another listee down, and further hope 
that I never even do so unintentionally. 

If  I ever intend to slam another person, I will do it in a private 
email, never on the list.  On occasion I have decided to go to battle 
with an individual, but it has always been outside the list.

A pact?  I promise to try to be a more skillful communicator and 
perhaps you will promise to query me directly and privately if you 
feel I have been insulting or offending to you personally.

Martin, I admire you for the depth of your knowledge, and have 
enjoyed and learned  from your postings.
