Just last night, on prime-time network TV I saw a Tampax ad ( please, refrain from adolescent snickering about this...) where a group of attractive 20-somethings are shown zipping around a country road in a red early Fastback ( for the entirity of the ad) I also recall a coffee commercial ( was it Maxwell House?) that's been airing for a few winters depicting someone pushing a beige Squareback in the snow. Do they expect us to belive it was stuck? I remeber the first time I saw this one very well, I was warming up with a cup of coffee after pushing my own Squareback off a busy road in a Michigan winter. ( due to generator failure) I also recall a red early Square being driven by a " revolutionary" (a woman, if I recall correctly, with weaponry stashed under the bonnet) in some '60's B-flick i caught a few minutes of. Anyone know what this one is ? Also, there is some movie with a psychedelically painted Type III on the box. I don't know the title, but from the blurb on the back, I'm led to belive the car ha - Erich - '80 Notch ( o.k., I admit, a Jetta coupe) - '71 Squareback - '66 Beetle ( wanna buy it?) - '83 Honda Civic ( the wrecker is on it's way...)
