>Anyway, to make a long story shorter, hours and hours later, I believe I >have discovered that the #2 fuel infector plug is loose (I remove #2 >infector plug, and tRÀo change in the idle, press against it, and the >idle levels out). How would that cause it to throw gas? I'm assuming that a loose electrical plug on an injector would just not give any gas to that cylinder... or is that what causes the other cylinders to misbehave and spill gas? >And finally, I noticed that the lead on my idle-kick down <?> solenoid is >broken. Precisely what might *that* cause? Holding the broken lead to the >solenoid and revving the engine produces no change in performance. As I understand it, that switch gets used by the automatic tranny to kick down one gear when you slam the gas.
