Well, it happened last night. I'd had a performance drop off, and she was cranky in the mornings, so I went and slapped some new ignition parts on her (cap, rotor, points, condenser). Then it happened. Running very rough, throwing gas. 'Ahhh Deathrich, my old adversary; we meet again...' Anyway, to make a long story shorter, hours and hours later, I believe I have discovered that the #2 fuel infector plug is loose (I remove #2 infector plug, and there's no change in the idle, press against it, and the idle levels out). I've asked this question before, and nobody's been able to answer it; do the new brains come with the full under-hood wiring harness? I'm *really* getting sick of clipping, stripping and attaching new connectors, and the wiring harness is starting to look like a high-school kids' stereo hookup. Conversely, is there a wiring harness setup that could be purchased, and clipped and crimped on near the brain? And finally, I noticed that the lead on my idle-kick down <?> solenoid is broken. Precisely what might *that* cause? Holding the broken lead to the solenoid and revving the engine produces no change in performance.
