here's the problem in a nut shell: cylinders 2 and 4 seem to be running just fine, but 1 and 3 are way lean. Dual carbs(stock solex 32's), dual QP exhaust with a collector type header, stock heater boxes. the spark plugs all look about the same, really light tan, but the inside of the exhaust ports are way different. 2 and 4 are black with carbon but not sooty or oily, 1 and 3 are white and powdery. i pulled the head off the right side( stripped spark plug is another story) and the pistons look the same the exhaust valve on two is brown, but on #1 is light gray. i would understand if it was the right or left side, but i don't understand weird symptoms like this. i hope someone has a simple solution for this, all i can think of is maybe the heater boxes are too constrictive? i don't know Brandon 73 square ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
