Joe=> does enyone have some advice about putting in the headliner First, for which car? The specific tricks can vary quite a bit. Vinyl, velour, flannel, or what? Generally speaking, I've found these basics to work well: Thread the fabric onto the bows and install the bows first. Make sure they're straight and evenly spaced. Don't leave out the insulation between the bows and roof. Do not do any more than very generous rough trimming. You'll want lots of extra fabric to hold onto while you glue up. Start the glue-up from the center of each side and work alternately toward the ends. Use a good grade of contact cement and follow directions carefully. Brush it on both the inside and outside of the body seams. Plan on the fabric wrapping all the way around under the rubber. Pull the fabric just tight enough to smooth it out -- it should not be stretched. As you pull the fabric up and secure the glue, use small spring clamps or plastic clothespins very close together to maintain even pressure while the glue sets up. Stop six or eight inches short of the corner and start again in the centers of the windshield and backlight. The corneC3而sually the hardest part. You took careful pictures of the old headliner before you ripped it out, right?
