I have had a major rethink of my VW restoration plans. The Bug (My daily driver)needs some attention this year if I want to make sure it stays in good nick. This means that I won't have the time or the money to do anything to the fast back I rescued for maybe at least a year. Rather than letting it rot in my drive way, I thought someone might be interested in a bit of a challenge. All I'm asking is the UKP50 it cost me to recover from it's original location. Details: 1970/71 1600 FI, manual, d.blue. It's in a bit of a state. It was rescued from a farmers barn which was about to be converted into a house (ie it was about to be scrapped). For full resto it needs at least 4 new wings, the front valence has a dent in it & someone stuck a sunroof in it. The interior is dirty, but pretty much complete. The engine (it looks like the original, but I haven't checked the#+œw yet) is currently on my garage floor.
