Oh, you got a Turbo Corvair! Cool! Back in -88 I worked in my buddy's garage during the summer. The first task I got was to make a complete engine overhaul on a Turbo Corvair Corsa. That was fun! Pretty rare bird on these latitudes! It really is a nice little boxer-six that would be real cool to have in a mid-engine configuration, like Brian Fye's Notchster. It has always been a popular engine to put into bugs and buggies, but I have never heard of a T3/Corvair combination, though. I don't know how much the weight is, but I believe it is possible to do. In the mid-80's one of the leading street-racing guy's in Stockholm (Olof "The Professor" Svenningson) ran a -56 bug with Porsche tranny and a modified turbo Corvair engine. Scary fast! Wheelie bars was a must... The big-block guy's sureƄ-(ard time to beat him! /Karl-Olov Sandin Oernskoeldsvik, Sweden > Tom Cloud wrote: >> > Not on my VW's but on my Turbo Corvair it has an oil pressure switch > that controls the running of the fuel pump.
