F.Y.I Some silicone sealers contains vinegar acid, which causes corrosion when applied on metal. Not recommended. (and I believe you have had just about enough of rust,Patrick ;-) ). I use something called "Acryflex" that I picked up att the Caravan center. It's a acrylic based non-corrosive sealer that is extremely sticky and appliable even on moist surfaces. It can actually be applied UNDER WATER! Great stuff! Probably sold at any marina, too. If you cant find it anywhere near, I can send you a tube by mail. Just let me know. Of course Steven is right - change the grommets for best result. /Karl-Olov Sandin > -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- > FrŒn: Steven Ayres [SMTP:comwest@well.com] > Skickat: den 5 februari 1999 08.03 > Till: type3@vwtype3.org > €mne: Re: [T3] Wiper post leak > > > Pat=> My last remaining leak is actually from around each windshield > => wiper arm - where they go through the body of the car. > > There's a grommet on each post, under the big nut.
