Re: [T3] Reflections on the Dark Side.

Is this really true?? Even the slightest modification lands you on the Dark
Side?

I certainly don't consider our Notch stock, but it's sure a hell of a lot
closer than some of the rides out there. It's got the original engine with
the original fuel injection. Still has the original interior, original tranny
(as far as we can tell) and about half of it is the original color still (the
rest is primer)

Sure all the chrome holes have been filled and the thing's about as low as a
notch can get (we've worn halfway through the tie down loop on the front beam)
and it's running 135s up front, but does this make us "Dark Siders"? I hadn't
ever thought so. I always reserved the dark side label for people like Toby
and Lisa and Brian who have drastically modified cars.

Am I going to have to consider you hard core Dark Siders my brothers (and
sisters) once we finish the thing and it sits on Empi Sprint Stars, has a few
after market accessories like fog lights, GTV wheel, gravel guards, empi
trigger shifter and the like? It'll have a stock motor and body (we're re-
drilling the chrome holes I think), but will just be a bit low and a different
color.

Eeeesh, I'd never considered this. I don't wanna be a dark sider <kicking and
screaming>.....isnt there somewhere us inbetween'ers can reside. Us folks who
don't have bone stock rides, but could make them stock with relatively few
changes?

Is there a committee that decides who is and who isn't dark side? Can I pay
them off?

furiously denying my darkside status
