We do not have enough information to diagnose your car's problem from
here. You'll probably have to give a better description if you want
more help.

Why? The oil bath filter works extremely well, gives no trouble, and
flows air with less restriction than a paper filter.

There were a few aftermarket mufflers out there that used ALL the
original heater parts. I don't know if any of them are made or are
available anymore. All the usual Quiet Power extractor exhausts
d7¯x¼e rear heat exchangers and leave you somewhat on your own to
make the hot air connection from the fan housing to the lower heat
exchangers. These will always result in at least a small loss of
heat.

You will get different advice from different people. The people who
lower their cars fall into two categories: those who don't know about
the handling downside, and those who do, but haven't figured out a
solution for it.

My advice is to leave it alone and save yourself some headaches.

You should buy and study the Bill Fisher book.
