tomorrow i'm installing a new(old but new to my car) injector. once that's in i need to attend to the other problem(s), mainly the car not holding idle once warmed up and then not starting, and basically running like crap once its warmed up (slamming the gas and barely moving, then having the gas kick all of a sudden etc...) now i have a few leads here. first off i checked out my auxillary air regulator, and its doing its job. when the hose is covered the engine drops in rpms, when its put back on the rpm's go up (when engine is coldish). problem is, when i try to set the idle with the hose covered (simulating warm engine) i can't get the idle over 825 rpm or so. i have the idle screw backed way out, a few more turns and its out of the housing. what's up with this? i think the answer to that question may be what is causing some of my problems... next issue. in the muir book he says that "slamming the gas and not moving and then all of a sudden having the gas kicking in" is a sign of the pressure sensor going out. should i be checking this out too? i guess i should be checking everything out, but i don't have much time to tinker since i'm working all the time and my square is my daily driver.... and the last thing i'm wondering about is why i'm told that a leaking injector would have nothing to do with my car running poorly? really? i was leaking alot of gas, pointing to a bad seal or possibly dirt in there blocking the gas. so it seems to me that this could lead to a dead cylinder, after all if its not getting enough gas its not gonna run right, right? and this could possibly lead to poor idle etc?? thanks for all the help so far, hopefully tomorrow my baby will be back on the road!! mark 70 square fi. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
