Well, wandering over the road at high speed is really the rear engined car's nature, but of course there are aspects that will help. First, the tires. I had some old tires, it felt like I was in a storm, the car was all over the road, but when I bought new tires, the car was straight again. Also make sure you have correct pressure in all the tires. Second, the shocks. Good shocks are important, not only front but rear too. Third, the steering damper. Of course, this will affect the steering, if this is bad. Fourth, the ball joints and steering joints. Wear in these will make the steering sloppy, and no matter how firm you grip the wheel, the steering will be loose. Fifth, how you load the car. If you are carrying a heavy load, it will be an idea not to put all the heavy stuff in the back, this will make it worse. Heavy stuff up front to give the front end more weight. Too much is not good either, a balance need to be found.
