There's a little Venturi pump created in the gap between the tank and the cup. This helps scavenge the last possible drop of gas from the tank if you're heading for empty. This also explains why your gauge may read almost empty when you first start up in the morning, but 5 minutes later the gauge reads much better off. A VERY cute feature, and AFAIK, one that VW never mentioned. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
