Wow! Still, it is NOS, and Type III. (Though, I've got to wonder why it's really early T3 from a U.S. company -- unless these were for the Canadian market.) I've usually seen Beetle heaters go for like $35 - $125 at swap meets as more-or-less complete boxes of parts, and refurbished units, at least Eberspaechers, often go for like $500 or $600 or so. While it does seem like it went for a bit much, it may not be so very much out there given the market, and that it's NOS.
