the reason i asked about the idle problem, as far as mine seeming to do so very roughly, is because this is what ALWAYS triggers my flickering oil light, and the random gen light flicker. when i first got the car it would go to idle really smoothly, so that's what i'm comparing it to. and i never had a flickering light of any sorts until this started happening. so if my engine is undershooting, if i step the idle up a bit will that help? my idle is a little low, i like it that way, around 850 or so. but i think that's where it should be at right? and the ashtray light....yes when i pull the ash tray out there is a light in there. it is visible through the dash crack in the middle of dash too. i just assumed it was something these cars came with, i would like to disconnect cause i have no need for it, why drain power for something i don't need? on a side note, today i experienced my first wiping the window off driving experience with my car...its been raining all day, and its cold, my window were fogged up so badly i had to constantly wipe it as i drove. guess its time to work on getting my defroster operational!! mark. 70 square fi. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
