Re: [T3] Push-Button Dash'

Hi Phil,

I have the same problem. I have a few push-buttons and have been trying to find a way to re-design them and put modern switches that function the way the originals worked.

But due to the bakelite-ish body, it requires building a new body to hold the new switches, not to mention that the parking light and headlight movement relationship is hard to reproduce. Not to mention the tandem reostats for the wiper speed and dash lights. The Bakelite-ish body is usually too old and brittle to modify.

The washer pump/valve I thought about replacing with a switch to activate an electric pump, but that would be the easiest one to do. But then it wouldn't be stock replacement...

If your's are beyond repair, please consider donating them to me for further research. Contact me off list for address.

BTW, were these from RHD cars? I wonder, are these buttons in the same order or mirror to the ones in LHD versions?

Big Al
