RE: [T3] T3s and crazy vanagon owners

My understanding of it is thusly:

A Type 2 is a bus. A Type 3 is a, well, Type 3. The T1, T2, T3, and T4 don't
refer to TYPE, just the generation of the "bus". For example: A type 2 T1 is
a 1950-67 splitty bus. A type 2 T2 is a 1968-79 bay window bus. A type 2 T3
is a 1980-91 Vanagon. And the type 2 T4 is a Eurovan. Although I don't think
VW considers the Eurovan (or the Vanagon for that matter) a "Type 2"
anymore, I think the T1-4 is kind of a informal designation that us bus nuts
put on our beloved vehicles.

FWIW,

Jeff
