Then remove all the gauges, the old dashpad, any chrome trim and screws. clips, etc, and the panic handle. Install the new one panic handle first then install the three gauges, then the rest of the stuff. I think the replacement pads are all made from molds made from old pads. The old pads have shrunk from age so are undersize to start with, plus the new pads shrink as soon as they come out of the mold and cool.
