:-)   I usually leave the vent windows cracked open a bit  :-)  it keeps the
windshield clear..... but does create a draft though.....  back a few years ago
in college I drove a 74 Beetle one winter  with no heat at all... at the time i
couldn't afford the heater boxes....  lets just say that either friends would
offer to drive often, or they would soon learn to bring along extra
clothing/blankets  :-)
