Yeah, 92+ octane fuel all the way is gonna be a little spendy (then there's food and...) -- gonna have to sell some stock to finance this trip. I am looking forward to pumping my own gas for a change :) Tent? What's this "tent" you speak about? I open up the cargo area and sleep in the back of my 'back! Heck, if the weather co-operates I can even pull back the roof and gaze at the stars above :) Hmmm, you know, I *do* have those sleep-in extension hinges...I could install them and then have a LOT more room for snoozin' :) (For those not familiar with these hinges, see 'http://www.icbm.org/erkson/ttt/back_seat.html') Toby Erkson air_cooled_nut@pobox.com <-- Please use this address for email '72 VW Squareback 1.6L bored and stroked to 2.0L, Berg five-speed '95 VW Jetta III GL 2.0L, P-Chipped, Jamex sport suspension Portland, Oregon, http://www.icbm.org/ >-----Original Message----- >Just did my trip planning...the rough mileage estimates are: >Parma to LA=1375 LA to Denver via SLC=1021 Denver to >Parma=848 Total miles=3244+ any 'extra' excusions...WOW!!! >Is my butt gonna hurt!!!!!!!!
