This super radio was adaptable for positive or negative ground, either 6 or 12 volt. The grounding 'switch' is different than the voltage 'switch'. Just leave the ground alone. What's that little yellow wire for? That is probably the power line. Yes, it needs its own fuse, because you should connect on the input side in the fuse block so you do not overload the existing fuse with the extra circut.
