I had a "thumping" in my left front, but it would occur mostly in a left turn, and sometimes straight-ahead. I replaced both front shocks and the steering damper. Didn't fix the prob. When my calipers froze up and I pulled them off to rebuild them, I found that the 2 bolts/nuts that hold the steering arm to the "wheel" assy. were rolling around inside the disc hub. I have my new discs (thanks Jim A.) and should have it back on the road this weekend. I'll let the list know if that fixes my front-end prob. -- Justin edenfijd@earthlink.net http://home.earthlink.net/~edenfijd Now with a "Last 10 years" update '95 CBR9 FeRRari red (now) w/ '93 bodywork '71 VW Squareback ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
