[T3] Front-end Q's

Thanks to the folks who responded about my door check strap question.
The other part of it that no one answered tho, is that it is loose in
the pillar.  The door part seems to be ok, aside from the fact that it
is 27+ years old.

My next question concerns the front-end trouble I'm having.  I have been
trying to drive the car every day since I got it back on the road, so as
to learn all the little nuances and quirks that make up my car.  In so
doing, I have found that the problem of the "thump" when making slight
left hand bends over 35 mph is all but non-existent when a passenger is
in the car.  When it is just me, thump-thump-thump.  Any ideas?  Is
something misadjusted in the suspension/front end?  It seems like
something is out of balance with just me in the car, and with a
passenger to level the ride out, it is ok.
