RE: [T3] Prescott show

Okay, Steve. Count on me. I haven't been up 'the Hill' in a year, but
Matilda's freshly tuned and running better than ever. I think I'll run her
up South Mountain 3 or four times, just for training!

We're gearing up for our annual rally and show here in Prescott May
15-Ò"I hope every T3er in the Southwest will consider coming
out
	for it.

On Saturday we'll start the rally at about 3pm from the parking lot
at
Mile High Middle School, just off the county square in downtown
Prescott. This is a puzzle rally, requiring that each team figure
out
the clues, pick up the tokens *and* aim for the index time. You must

have a navigator and a sense of humor. Rally entries are $5 per car.

The rally will finish at the free street show along the square,
where
we'll block off a street to load it up with VWs for the evening.
This is
always a good time, as we get a lot of attention from strolling
tourists
	and locals.

For show participants and swappers, Sunday starts at 7am, when we
begin
parking everyone on the Mile High athletic field. All VWs are
invited
onto the grass, whether 'showing' or not, @$5. Gates open to general

admission ($3, kids free) at about 9. We'll have games and
activities
for all ages, including push drags, a Type 3 pile-on (how many
people
can we get on and in a Squareback at the same time?), and lots of
great
raffle prizes. The top prize will be a Cannondale mountain bike!
Participants and visitrs will vote for their favorite cars, and
we'll
give Top-20 awards as well as a best of show and several others.

Show proceeds will benefit Turning Point youth crisis center in
	Prescott.

Prescott is an old cowboy and mining town in the mountains of
central
Arizona at about 5200 feet. You can count on beautiful, comfortable
weather, small-town hospitality and lots of fun. We even have a
special
deal with a local motel for our out-of-town friends. Write me
privately
for more info. Come on by!
