D jetronic??? Betcha I know what it is!! (RJ, the flrdging 412 master that I am....) The fuel pump relay also turns on the Auxilary Air regulator, which is about 2 o'clock from the oil breather and just about under it... It lets in un ungodly amount of air into the intake for a few seconds, until the power from the Fuel pump relay heats an expansion coil and closes it. Extra air = higher idle. Thats what the problem with mine was- You can also check for vacumn leaks and all that jazz...or adjust it- but the adjustment wont work if the air regulator on. Too much air.... For reviving an old FI I would.... 1) NEW HOSES!!!!!- drain the tank while your at it- its all crap anyway... 2) Take out each injector, spray it clean with some carb stuff. Check the seals- 3) I would throw some FI cleaner in the tank and manually let the pump run for about 10 minutes- I just took a test lead to power- I figured this got fresh gas to every part and disloges gunk through the filter and all that goodness. Eat away the varnish.... -rj >---------- >From: Luis A. Pieretti[SMTP:panin@n-link.com] >Reply To: Luis A.
