i pulled back on that mirror and snap it broke at the top. i have another fortunately, but it's been painted over with white housepaint, along with the crusty headliner and visors. obviously, i am going to replace the headliner, and i need to strip the crap off the mirror and paint it with vinyl paint. so i guess i can paint the mirror mount when it is still in the car, but should i just tuck the headliner under the mirror stem? were you guys talking about just popping the ball out where the mirror attaches to the stem? or maybe i was pulling too hard. i looked at how the mirror mounts to the ceiling and it looks like it is a little more complicated than just tugging the mirror out. i had a hard time just trying to pry out the rest of the metal mounting stuff out of the holes in the roof. it seems like there is a better way to do this. i don't want to break another mirror. ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vw[Wˆn g/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
