Well, we had a beautiful weekend for our 2 shows in Jacksonville Beach. Sunny and mid to upper 80's. Saturday was a Type 2 only. Great showing of buses! Some super buses, single\™Eew cabs. Great stuff. Check this month's dune buggies and hot VWs, pg. 63 to see Panama Mike's "Porsche 913". It's his version of what Porsche would have built had they built a van. Super guy with a shop - will come in handy later for my Square. :) A spread will be in a later issue. Not a bad idea for an engine in a Square either... Sunday (yesterday) was another beautiful day. We had 98 entrants in our All-VW show. I was the only Square and there was only 1 other Type 3, a beige Fasty that is for sale. A guy came in later with a '69 Square the same color as mine, but factory. Met him, seemed like on ok guy. He's having trouble with his A/T slamming down into 2nd when he let's off the gas to decelerate. Any suggestions? I have a M/T, and as I'm new to VW's, couldn't offer much advice. I did tell him he needed to align his generator so it would cool, even got my ratchet and socket for him. So, all in all it was a great weekend. Sorry to hear about the NJ show getting rained out. Ya'll take care. -- Justin C-ya@tmgbbs.com http://tmgbbs.com/cya '95 CBR9 FeRRari red (now) w/ '93 bodywork '71 VW Squareback =============================================================================== The Modem Games BBS (904) 908-5550 or Telnet to tmgbbs.com (209.137.81.130) ================================================================================ ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
