I've never owned a British car, just VWs, but the Mini and the Type 3 were
spawned around the same time, and there are significant similarities at the
front, and even at the back with the Squareback.  I've never confused a
Volvo with a Squareback, but I have with a Mini (for a moment).

BTW, Yes I did find your sig insulting.
