Keith: Why not? Have you had bad experiences with them? If not from MOFOCO, whose processes were detailed in an article in Hot VW's (don't remember which issue), then whom should I buy from if I do, indeed, have to replace the whole long block? I would sort of rather not replace anything at the immediate present, but I would like to keep in mind a reputable engine re-manufacturer. My option to a new engine is my friend's shop: an engine rebuild shop, with all the machinery to completely spec out my engine while keeping it as near stock as the FI system dictates. I am holding off on this, though, for the present time while I work on "babying up" the '71 engine I have in her now. We'll see how this works & then start in on the original case. Thanks again for all the input! Later! Aaron >:) > VWT3 '69س auto f.i.
