Why not? Have you had bad experiences with them? If not from MOFOCO,
whose processes were detailed in an article in Hot VW's (don't remember
which issue), then whom should I buy from if I do, indeed, have to replace
the whole long block? I would sort of rather not replace anything at the
immediate present, but I would like to keep in mind a reputable engine
re-manufacturer. My option to a new engine is my friend's shop: an engine
rebuild shop, with all the machinery to completely spec out my engine while
keeping it as near stock as the FI system dictates. I am holding off on
this, though, for the present time while I work on "babying up" the '71
engine I have in her now. We'll see how this works & then start in on the
original case. Thanks again for all the input!
