When you start taking EVERYTHING off yourcar, which takes time, and you say, leave it overnight in a city like say, BROOKLYN, that becomes an invitation of sorts. Guys drive in trucks around here looking to strip cars that just LOOK like they've been abandoned. Two weeks ago I was scraping rust under my car and doing other futzing. I had my car door open and my back hatch open. Two guys came up in a truck and were both surprised AND disappointed to see that I was there working. So I cant just start taking apart my car unless I know I'll have the car at the body shop before sundown.
