As was most succinctly expressed, keep the FI if it is serving you well. FI replaced carbs because FI is clearly a superior technology. With superior technology, however, comes increased complexity. If for any reason (your fault, my fault, nobody's fault -- yes, I watch John Wayne movies too) the complexities of FI take you to the point at which you and your car cannot function, then be glad for the availability of carbs as a backup system. So, as a satisfied carburetor user, I say stick with FI as long as it serves you faithfully, but when that no longer is the case, change to carbs as a viable option to keep your wheels rollin' under you for another 10 or 20 years. And paint right over that damn beading! Phil dillard@suu.edu ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
