It stretches if you put it in a bath of hot water, but be careful pulling it as the wing bolt holes produce a weak area, and it may already be cracked. The dull surface may come up better with rubbing compound (for flatting dull paint). If you paint them separately, use a plastic primer, and it will do a reasonable job. An air-brush with body colour paint is just the job to touch up the beading if it looks dull. Dave.
